We weren’t sure about giving this monstrous crossbreed the air of publicity, but seeing as they’ve assured us it’s a one-off, ladies and gentlemen may we present the DiMora JX Coupe Concept.
Yes, that’s right, coupe. While it might look to all intents and purposes like a pick-up truck with a cover over the loadbay, customiser DiMora Designs reckons this is a coupe.
The JX is based on a 1999 Chrysler Concorde, a run-of-the-mill front-wheel-drive US saloon that normally has four doors and seats for five.
But the owner of this Concorde decided he wanted something a bit different – hence this two-door, two-seat special.
After removing the back seats, rear doors and half of the roof, DiMora added a new 3.2-litre V6 engine, plus sports exhaust system. The interior was retrimmed in leather.
