Two Aston range-toppers get a 'Carbon Black' makeover

Aston Martin has revealed special Carbon Black editions of its DBS and V12 Vantage.

Both models receive Carbon Black paintwork, which is painted by hand and takes more than 50 hours to apply and quality check. Both cars also receive 10-spoke, diamond-cut alloy wheels with gloss black detailing.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Carbon Black benefits from a carbonfibre side strake, which sits on top of a black mesh grille. Other features on this model include a new bright finish on its front grille and front parking sensors as standard.

Inside, both the V12 Vantage and Aston Martin DSB Carbon Black receive Obsidian Black leather seats, with silver stitching which is hand-finished at Gaydon.

Lightweight seats, made from carbonfibre and Kevlar, save 17kg over their standard equivalents, while a piano black fascia trim, centre stack and centre console also feature.

The Aston Martin Premium Audio System is standard on the V12 Vantage, while the DBS is delivered with a Bang & Olufsen Beosound system.

Those ordering the V12 Vantage Carbon Black will also be offered a place on Aston Martin’s performance driving course free of charge.

Prices have yet to be confirmed, but Aston tells us both models are expected to come with a five per cent premium over the base models. This equates to £141,750 for the V12 Vantage and £166,995 for the DBS.

Premium Audi System? Have Aston Martin falling into the clutches of the VW Group already?
