Factory team to contest selected programme of events

Aston Martin will race in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours and next month's Sebring 12 Hours.

The British constructor, which will run its factory LMP1 car in the races, had been expected to sit out the 2010 season while developing a new car for 2011.

Howevr, it has now confirmed its entry in the blue riband Le Mans and Sebring events, plus further outings at Long Beach and Paul Ricard.

Drivers include Adrian Fernandez, Stefan Mucke, Darren Turner, Harold Primat and Chris Buncombe. A sixth driver will be announced in the coming weeks.

The team is also set to enter selected races this season after Le Mans, but the details are still to be confirmed.

Re: Aston Martin enters Le Mans

I wish they would run the entire ALMS season here in the states, another good reason to go to Sebring this year though.
