Year-on-year rise contributes to large rise in Tata Motors sales

Jaguar Land Rover's worldwide sales have leapt year on year, helping contribute to a 59 per cent rise in sales among all Tata Motors sales in February 2010.

Combined Jaguar Land Rover global sales this February were 17,197 vehicles, up 60 per cent year on year.

Jaguar sales for the month were 3292, up by 55 per cent, while Land Rover sales were 13,905, up by 62 per cent.

The figures help boost the company's dismal fiscal year - cumulative Jaguar Land Rover sales are 170,444, down 16 per cent. Jaguar sales are down 26 per cent year on year, while Land Rover is down 11 per cent.

Tata Motors Group global sales, comprising of Tata, Tata Daewoo, Hispano Carrocera and Jaguar and Land Rover, were 59 per cent up in February, and are up 17 per cent year on year.

those are some impressive numbers, given that the Rangie alone is getting close to the 7-Series (899) and S-Class (715).

Jaguar's sales were down, not Land Rover's. As it is now, Jaguar and Land Rover's sales are counted together.

Have you got the figures for Reliant from 1983?

They increased 814% in August. Staggering.
