CH Auto is a Chinese design studio in the mould of Pininfarina; the company employs more than 300 people and the Aculein is the work of its chief designer, Wang Bisen.

The Aculein – which has more than a hint of Ferrari 599 to it – is named after the poisonous tip of a scorpion’s tail.

It uses BMW 6-series running gear given to them by the German firm and is powered by a BMW 4.8-litre V8 producing 367bhp and 361lb ft of torque. It can get from 0-62mph in just 5.2sec and go on to reach a top speed of 167mph.

The firm has designed the car to drum up interest and business for its design studio. It has already worked with Chinese manufacturers including Geely, GAW and BAW, among others.214101025314948179x39
