The Fiat 500 now has a rear anti-roll bar that is 30 per cent stiffer than the original unit, after the Italian manufacturer adopted the settings developed for the Ford Ka.
The Ford Ka went on sale after the Fiat 500, using the same 500/Panda platform with a Ford-designed body and Ford-tuned mechanicals.
Fiat initially used the Ford developed set-up on its Abarth badged derivatives of the 500, but has subsequently adopted it for standard 500s.

Has anyone driven an old and new variant? How do they compare? I almost bought one a year or so back, but didnt as I didnt like the ride. However if it has improved somewhat I may reconsider.....

the 500 has a slightly unsettled ride- this apart it was SO much nicer than the KA- i test drove both and still went with the 500...

Ford did it, no Fiat did it, no it was Ford, never, it was Fiat, no Ford, Fiat, Ford, Fiat.......... Anyway, better late than never for the 500.
