New 'Luxe' trim adds a selection of exclusive options, including new colours and a luggage set

Aston Martin has announced a new Luxe trim level for its Rapide, which the company already refers to as “the most elegant four-door sports car in the world”.

On top of the already comprehensive spec list, Luxe adds a selection of exclusive colour options, including Quantum Silver and Concours Blue, bespoke six-piece luggage set to match its interior, rear-seat DVD system with wireless headphones, plus glass switchgear and key fob.

Another additional feature is the Luxe’s new ventilation system, which offers three temperature settings for its individual seats.

Aston Martin has confirmed that the Rapide Luxe is available now and is priced at approximately £157,445, although prices may vary with differing options, such as leather finish.

Prices for the standard Rapide start at a shade under £140,000.Read Autocar's full road test of the Aston Martin Rapide

Aston Martins are beautiful as always.

Sure, the rear seats are cramped but makes for a more comfortable (and slightly more practical) than a 2+2 seater. I'm sure buyers of the Rapide will only use the rear seats on occasion or for short trips, if at all.

Buyers looking for real rear seat comfort and spaciousness will turn to Bentley or Rolls.

If I had the money I would get a Rapide -- it's a little more unique and exclusive than the rest of the Aston line.

TT RS V GT3 RS.

That's not really a contest, probably the Porsche driver lost his bottle or maybe ran out of talent or sensibly realised how bad this could end.

People die on our roads in this manner everyday, both these cars deserve to be on a track and not launching down the motorway like Exocet missiles.

I am guilty of it Myself at times, as I am sure most Car lovers are, but theres no reason not to explore what your car will do in relative safety on a track day special.
