Striking Geneva 2011 EV concept, known as 'BamBoo', "pushes the reset button" on design

Rinspeed has revealed its quirky BamBoo concept, which will make its debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show.

Resembling a grown-up golf cart, the concept’s focus is on simplicity; interior features include bamboo touches, and its design language "pushes the reset button" and "clears the mind for a new way of thinking".

The open top layout of the BamBoo "awakens the longing for sun, summer, for lightness and easiness," the company claims.

Powertrain details are limited, but the company has said it will combine an electric motor for the vehicle plus an onboard, foldable two-wheeler "for the last mile" of the journey.

Or to put it another way: once again the word slight is used when what they really mean is sleight in a contribution which in every other regard has no point at all.

I think it looks like a cross between a Mk 1 Renault 5, a Think and the previously mebtioned Citroen Mehari.
