Citroen Racing is hoping to extend production of its DS3 Racing model by an additional 1000 units.
The company has been encouraged by strong early sales of its original 1000 cars, which has now increased to 2000 to meet customer demand.

This figure, however, is set to increase again with Citroen Racing boss Olivier Quesnel commenting that the firm is “in negotiations” about adding another 1000 examples to that revised total. Just 200 right-hand drive examples had been planned to be built.
Power for the DS3 Racing comes courtesy of a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, which produces 204bhp and 203lb ft. Citroen Racing has achieved these gains by tuning the turbocharger, remapping the ECU and adding a new sports exhaust system to the standard car.Read Autocar's first drive review of the Citroen DS3 Racing
