Nissan's new 370Z GT Edition features revised suspension and a "race-themed" exterior

Nissan has launched its limited edition “race-themed” Nissan 370 GT Edition, to celebrate 40 years of Z in the UK as well as the firm’s success in GT racing.

Features of the GT Edition include grey GT stripes, which run along the car’s flanks, three body colours - Pearl White, Kuro bBlack and Black Rose – and 19-inch alloys.

Changes to the chassis and suspension have also been made and include revised dampers “to provide the ideal balance between ride comfort and high-speed handling,” according to Nissan.

Inside, the special edition gets a rear parking camera as part of the ‘Premium Connect’ sat-nav system and the addition of a tyre-pressure monitoring system. Also featuring for the first time is the option of ‘snow mode’ for the seven-speed auto gearbox.

Vice president of product planning Pierre Loing said, "The 370Z is an iconic sports car and the GT Edition underlines its appeal to enthusiasts everywhere."The combination of outstanding performance and the dramatic looks of this very special 370Z more than lives up to the heritage of its illustrious forebear, while its strong links to the racetrack shows its true pedigree," he added.

Prices for the Nissan 370Z GT Edition start from £35,000, with order books opening at the beginning of June.
