Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann says the firm is unlikely to turn to turbocharging this decade – but has refused to rule out the switch in the longer term.
For the time being it will not happen,” said Winkelmann. “For this decade, I don’t see it happening in the super sport car business – although I would also caution against saying it could never happen.
“The future can take its own path when fuel regulations are involved. All I will say is that any development along those lines must be consistent with the DNA of Lamborghini.”
The next generation Gallardo, which Winkelmann will be launched “at least two years down the road”, is not expected to be feature a turbocharged engine when it’s launched.
However, sources at Audi, who are developing the sister R8, have suggested that car may get turbocharged engine options from midway through its lifespan, which would be towards the end of the decade.

Re: Lamborghini: "no turbocharging for now"
This is good news! its good to hear Lamborgini are still going to use N/A engines for the next decade.
Re: Lamborghini: "no turbocharging for now"
I find it interesting that while many people here usually lament the current trend of downsizing and turbocharging, they now pounce on the semantics of sportscar vs supersportscar.
