Italian styling company Bertone has unveiled its latest concept car in Geneva

Italian styling company Bertone has unveiled its latest concept car, the Bertone Nuccio, at the Geneva motor show. The striking concept – named in honour of Giuseppe ‘Nuccio’ Bertone, former owner of the Turinese design house, is described as an ‘extreme sportscar that puts an evolutionary imprint on the concept that is built into Bertone’s DNA: the mid-rear engined berlinetta’.

No details of the powertrain that would underpin the Nuccio have been revealed. The car has a low, muscular one-box design that is part of the company’s historic tradition.

The Nuccio will be under the spotlight at several events as Bertone celebrates its centenary. After the Geneva motor show the car will appar at the Beijing show in April and at the Turin National Car Museum in May.

Re: Bertone Nuccio concept breaks cover

Looks like the result of a Eurostar loco and a Lamborghini Estoque playing hide the sausage.

As with the Touring Disco Volante, bits of it look amazing. But stand back and the car, as a whole, just doesn't work for me.

Interesting and it stands aside from the crowd as something different.

There are some details that reminded me of Bertone's ( actually Mike Robinson) Alfa Romeo Pandion concept . Only this time, the branch- like theme is on the front.

In profile, it really has an unattractive short wheelbase/long overhangs combo which does it no favours, much like the Alfa Brera.
