These are the first official, undisguised pictures of the forthcoming Jaguar XF Sportbrake which have been leaked online. The model will be officially revealed at the Geneva motor show next month.
The leaked photographs appear to be scanned from a brochure. They show the XF Sportbrake has a sleek window line and a boot-lip spoiler and has been given the same disguised C-pillar treatment as the Jaguar XJ. The rear light arrangement is carried over from the saloon. From the B-pillars forward, the Sportbrake appears identical to the saloon model.
The load-lugging XF will provide Jaguar with a much-needed rival to the Audi A6 Avant and BMW 5-series Touring. The elegant estate retains the sleek profile of the XF saloon and is expected to offer comparable luggage capacity as both the Audi and BMW. However, by retaining the saloon’s approximate wheelbase and not increasing the rear overhang, the Mercedes E-class estate will continue to lead the class.
An interior shot shows the rear seats will fold flat, and there appears to be an additional storage compartment beneath the floor. A ski hatch will also be available.
No announcement has been made on the engine line-up, although the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel is likely to account for the majority of sales. A pair of 3.0-litre V6 diesels are likely to be offered alongside the naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 petrol.

Re: Jaguar XF Sportbrake: leaked pics
Odd. The number plate looks like SBS 113. That's the same as the number plate on the VW Touareg advert on page 20 of this week's New Scientist. I can't believe I noticed this. Oh, and yes, nice car. If they'd sold it a couple of years ago I'd probably have bought one.

It's been a long time coming, but it looks like Jaguar have done a great job here.
Probably few better ways of transporting a family across the UK - pace space and grace, with a very decent touring range from the diesels too.
Re: Jaguar XF Sportbrake: leaked pics
I agree with the general comments it is a fantastic looking car compared to the A6 E class and 5 series hope they do a 4x4 version and would order one.not sure about the c pillars if it makes any differance being blacked out or not , I am not that bothered either way.
