The JAC Heyue SC is China's latest attempt at a credible sports coupe

The JAC Heyue SC, one of the homegrown stars of Beijing, is China’s latest attempt at creating a credible sports car. JAC has confirmed the car will go on sale in China priced from 200,000 Yuan (£19,700).

The Heyue SC is powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 162bhp and 160lb ft of torque, and mated to a manual gearbox.

Previous Chinese attempts at sports coupés haven’t fared well with domestic buyers; the Geely Beauty Leopard, which was powered by a weak 1.3-litre engine and featured a built-in karaoke system, was reportedly given away as a company car to Geely employees.

Re: Beijing show: JAC Heyue SC coupe

Looks like a kit car to me. Just something wrong about the design that I can't put my finger on.
