Jaguar’s new sports car has been driven up Goodwood’s famous hill circuit

A prototype version of the Jaguar F-type has made its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Slated for an on sale date in mid-2013, Jaguar’s new sports car will be driven up Goodwood’s famous hill circuit by Jaguar head of vehicle integrity Mike Cross.

The F-type prototype which will be used for the run will be the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 model, which produces 375bhp and 332lb ft.

Jaguar’s global brand director Adrian Hallmark said: “Goodwood Festival of Speed is focused around the dynamic hill runs where the public can see, hear and smell the cars – this is why we have chosen it as the place to showcase an F-type prototype.”
