New images of the British-built McLaren P1 hypercar, at the Bahrain International Circuit, have been released.
The P1 is currently being taken on a global tour to attract potential buyers. The tour has already visited North America, which will be the car's biggest market. The Middle East is expected to be another vital market.
375 examples of the McLaren P1 will be built, each of which will command a hefty asking price of £866,000.
McLaren Automotive regional director for the Middle East and Africa, Mark Harrison said: “After a successful launch in Bahrain, we are very excited to be bringing the McLaren P1 to the United Arab Emirates."
The McLaren P1, set to rival the new LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, is designed to be the best driver's car in the world. F1-inspired engineering is utilised throughout, with the P1 featuring advanced aerodynamics and carbonfibre construction.
Power comes from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that generates 727bhp and 531lb ft. Press the hybrid KERS button and the total output will be boosted to 903bhp and 664lb ft.
The P1's interior is stripped out and made primarily of carbonfibre. The instrumentation is digital and the car has sat-nav, climate control and a bespoke sound system.
Programme director at McLaren, Paul Mackenzie, says that despite the P1's performance it can still be driven in great comfort and refinement.
The McLaren P1 made its debut at the Geneva motor show.

Production run now quoted as 375, not 500
Some comments suggest 500 P1s. At some stage, during Geneva show I think, McLaren revised its production figure downwards from 500 to 375.
Ambitious sales target!
Given the F1 sold around 100 or so copies and Bugatti have taken the best part of a decade to shift 300 Veyrons, finding 500 customers for the P1 looks optimistic. Will we see endless special editions like the Veyron? A 'competition' version with fixed aero perhaps, and power upgrades over time?
Okay, it's winning me over...
These pics are stunning and I'm really starting to like this (I'm sure Ron Dennis will sleep soundly now). Two things though bug me a bit:
1. The back slopes down too much towards the rear directly above the exhaust making it look too weak and waspish for a hugely powerful car (and the glasshouse is way too big, side windows far too tall, almost MPV like...).
2. The logo! I'm a graphic designer and the P and the 1 do not go together well at all. The P is heavily italicised while the 1 is not (unusual) and the 1 looks at fist glance like a 4. Horrible.
