Honda will begin testing its Micro Commuter prototype in Japan towards the end of this year.
As with a number of manufacturers looking at super-urban vehicle designs to rival the Renault Twizy, Honda says it will use the data collected from these tests to analyse usage patterns and vehicle needs.
The Micro Commuter was first seen in November last year, using a rear-mounted electric motor powered by a 15kW lithium-ion battery. The car is reported to have a 37-mile range and a top speed of 50mph.
To maximise interior space, almost all key components are located under the floor of the vehicle.
One of the key features of the Micro Commuter prototype is its adaptability. The body has a variable design, meaning that the bodywork and interior can be varied depending on usage. Honda is keen to point out the wide variety of uses its platform could have, citing special adaptations for parents with children, elderly drivers and even delivery vehicles.
Autocar has already driven an early prototype around Honda's test circuit.

T25 and T27
They aren't much use if you can't buy one. However I do expect something from Honda to be on the market in the next couple of years.
Gordon Murray
KenF.
Why should Gordon take any notice of this?,the T25 and
T27 are much better.

T26 was a version of the T25/27 built for an unnamed Japanese client. And the dimensions of both cars are virtually identical.
Its been very quiet at GMD for quite some time, hopefully the first cars built using the i-stream process are not far from production
I wonder if this is Gordon
