Suzuki's new S-Cross unveiled at the Paris motor show; it could replace the current SX4 in 2013

Suzuki has released its new S-Cross concept at the Paris motor show.

A production version of the Suzuki S-Cross is expected to replace the current SX4 baby crossover towards the end of 2013. The current SX4 is built alongside the Fiat Sedici in Hungary, but that deal is coming to an end and Fiat now has Jeep in its stable to make cars like the Sedici.

No firm details have been revealed of the Paris show car, but Suzuki describes the new C-segment crossover concept as a model that embodies "emotion, quality and aerodynamics".

The five-door S-Cross hatchback will feature a distinctive beltline, plus protective body mouldings all round and a skid plate under the car’s front.

Suzuki need to fill all the

Suzuki need to fill all the gaps in their range to stay independent.I agree with RobMcSorley that they need a compact family car to compete too.I hope they can get out of VWs clutches too.

suzuki versus vw

Hi catnip

Suzuki told vw to get lost. V w not giving any secrets out, only wanting market share to be number 1.

Under arbitration at moment.

Go on Suzi, show them who's boss.

Price is whats going to count

I really like the Kiza - had the chance to drive one about a year ago - really nippy fun car - dont think Autocar ever got their hands on one? Anyway - the SX4 badkly needs to be replaced. The packaging was seriously bad - squashy bag in the "boot" was daft and stopped us buying one, plus the price was the greatest off-putting aspect. Someone has to inform Suzuki that they are NOT the bees knees and their products need to be HARD SOLD in order to shift them. This one looks like a decent replacement idea - just hope the packaging and price are much more attractive

I am reviewing a Kizashi at the end of September for a week and I am quietly excited about it!

I am not sure if this concept is going to preview the next SX4 as the spyshots around of the SX4 show a very different body shape to this. I am wondering whether this previews a Focus/Golf rival from Suzuki. That would be a great idea for Suzuki right now!
