Lamborghini chief Stephan Winkelmann has ruled out the possibility of the firm launching a 2+2 version of the Aventador.
Although the model was understood to be one of several Aventador concepts under consideration, the idea of an extended Aventador with two small seats in the back was one that hasn’t progressed beyond the drawing board.
Winkelmann told Autocar at the Sao Paulo motor show that although there were “a lot of ideas of what we can do with the Aventador, not all the ones that have been suggested are true”.
He added that there was “a lot in the pipeline for the Aventador” and the launch of the standard V12 coupé had been “very successful”.
Next up for the Aventador is expected to be an open-top roadster version, with a more powerful version likely after that.
