Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that its multi-million pound 'brand experience' centre at Brooklands will open to the public in October.
'Mercedes-Benz World' will comprise an enormous showroom, allowing buyers to sample every car and every colour in the range, a handling circuit (including a wet skid circle and a 10-acre off-road course), a simulated 'infotainment' ride designed to replicate what a C-class goes through during its production process, a movie theatre and restaurants.
Formula 1 driver David Coulthard has plans to open one of his Columbus hotels on the same site.
The development brings motoring experience back to Brooklands, the world's first purpose-built motorsport facility. The Brooklands Museum has worked closely with Mercedes on plans, and from October it will be accessed using the main entrance to Mercedes-Benz World.
