The Ford Focus has been a mainstay on British roads since 1998, and has continually evolved to set the pace for family-friendly hatchbacks.
Now, the totally transformed All-New Ford Focus has undergone one of the most radical re-inventions in its 20-year history – with thousands of upgrades and innovations as Ford looks to change the hatchback game once again. Since you don’t have time to delve into Ford’s blueprints, we’ve picked out the 50 key changes on the All-New Focus that really matter – and it takes less than three minutes to see them all.

More style, space and connectivity
The first change on the All-New Focus is a distinctive new look – giving a bold, sporty edge to the classic Focus form, with alloy wheels as standard.
Inside, the streamlined ‘fluid’ interior design is simple, cleaner and easier to use, while a panoramic roof, electronic parking brake and a rotary gearshift dial add a premium feel.
Ford Pass Connect gives you even more choice for navigation, traffic updates, music, calls and texts, with a 10-device embedded modem, wireless charging and SYNC 3 smartphone connectivity with pinch, swipe and voice control on the 8-inch touchscreen.
An advanced 675-watt B&O Play audio system is available, with 10 speakers and a 140mm sub-woofer. You can even connect to your car remotely, with the FordPass mobile app.
The All-New Focus is more spacious, too, with more shoulder-room and rear legroom, and up to 1,620-litres (VDA) of load capacity in the All-New Focus Estate. That load space is easier to use, with a hands-free tailgate, higher boot height, one-pull easy-fold rear seats and a storable tonneau cover.
More engaging to drive
Ford has always set the handling benchmark in the hatchback class, and the All-New Focus is no different – with 50% stiffer suspension allied to Force Vectoring Springs from the sporty Fiesta ST. Ford Stability Control with Torque Vectoring Control adds an extra degree of driving confidence.
An all-new and more powerful 1.5-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine joins an improved 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol and new, more efficient and refined EcoBlue diesels in the engine range. Industry-first EcoBoost three-cylinder deactivation, advanced turbo-charging, and high-pressure direct fuel injection – mean this engine is not just more powerful, it’s also 10% more efficient.
