Toyota to introduce automatic steering and partially autonomous driving; Audi's new special TTS Limited Edition

Rolls-Royce has found strong growth in the Asian market, and reports it has entered several emerging markets with success. Chief executive Torsten Müller-Ötvös reports 'very pleasing' growth in Asia, driven by a rise in the number of wealthy individuals in the country. Rolls-Royce is bucking the trend of other ultra-high end luxury manufacturers as it continues to expand into China and other areas.

Toyota will introduce automatic steering and partially autonomous motorway driving systems to its model lineup. The company says its automated steering works in conjunction with existing collision avoidance technology to steer the vehicle away from an impending crash, while its automated highway driving assist can apply acceleration, steering and brakes while on the motorway. Both technologies will be made available around 2015.

Audi has revealed a special variant of its Audi TT to celebrate achieving 500,000 sales worldwide. The Audi TTS Limited Edition is available to order in coupé and roadster forms, priced at £38,860 and £42,320 respectively. Powered by a 268bhp 2.0-litre TFSI engine, the models get over £5000 worth of interior upgrades over the standard TTS. Only 120 units will be coming to the UK.
