Kia introduces a new top-spec trim to its Carens MPV, while Mazda faces recalls in the US

The Kia Carens is now available with a new top-spec trim. Dubbed '3 Sat Nav', the new trim includes a seven-inch touchscreen satellite-navigation system alongside an upgraded audio and speaker system. The Carens '3 Sat Nav' is available now, priced from £24,845.

Land Rover tuning specialist Twisted has introduced a new 250bhp diesel engine to its range. Producing 494lb ft of torque the Ford Ranger-derived unit is now available for customers to fit to their modified Land Rover Defenders. A 270bhp engine will follow soon.

Mazda has recalled 161,400 of its Mazda 6 saloons in the US due to defective door latches. The recall affects cars built before August 2012, with Mazda reporting door latch screws can become loose, causing the doors to open. The company says cars in the UK are not affected.

Which makes perfect sense, seeing as the 08-12 Mazda6 was a US specific, US made model.

Why? I paid £25000 for my KIA OPTIMA 3 last year and I am more than happy with my car. I intend to keep it till the end of the 7 year warranty and took a 5 year service plan so for me I get all the luxury, a very good and comfy car.
