Niche German sports car maker Wiesmann has closed its doors, according to reports. Employees of the firm told a newspaper in The Netherlands that no investment had been found after the firm went into administration last year. The majority of Wiesmann's 125-strong workforce have already left the company, and plans to introduce a new entry-level model have been shelved.
A limited-edition version of the Peugeot RCZ is now on sale. The RCZ Red Carbon, of which only 300 units will be available, comes with bespoke leather sports seats with contrasting red stitching, a sports steering wheel and a short-shift gear stick, as well as Peugeot's infotainment system. Prices start at £26,000.
Audi has introduced the latest generation of its 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine at an engineering event in Vienna. Available in both 215bhp and 268bhp forms, the engine is claimed to be 13 per cent more fuel efficient than its predecessor and conforms to Euro 6 emissions standards.
