Bentley has announced Belgian designer Luc Donckerwolke as its new Director of Design.
Donckerwolke was previously Head of Advanced Design for Volkswagen Group, following stints as head of design at Lamborghini and director of design at Seat. He succeeds Dirk van Braeckel, who will move to a role in the Volkswagen Group’s central design department.
Donckerwolke joined the VW Group in 1992 as an exterior designer at Audi. His CV includes work on the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo, Skoda Fabia and Audi R8 Le Mans prototype.
The VW Group’s design director Walter de Silva has commented: "Luc Donckerwolke brings a wealth of design talent to Bentley. His extensive experience makes him the ideal person to take forward Bentley’s future design language, at a time when the company has significant plans for new models."
