Limited edition Quattroporte to be launched at Geneva motor show

This is the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition, a special edition of the car.

The car, created to celebrate the awards presented to Maserati for the car is largely based on the Standard GT S, but has a new type of polished brake calliper created by Brembo. Although brake performance is unchanged, the calliper has a mirrored look.

The exterior is differentiated from standard by a new pearlescent metallic grey body colour, chrome detailing and 20-inch alloys.

Inside, it gets leather seats, black satin wood mouldings and brushed aluminium detailing.

The Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition will be available in the UK as a special order in the second half of 2010. Prices will only be revealed when a customer asks to buy one.

At the car's launch Harold Wester, Maserati CEO, also stressed Maserati's enduring appeal, saying that it had increased its market share in almost every region despite recession. He also announced profits of 11 million euros (£10m) for the previous financial year.

It's nervous on the motorway, noisy and has a fidgety ride. What's more, some of the trim is decidedly low rent.

Also in real life the Maserati is more than good enough for most buyers!
Is that really a cogent argument? It's like saying "what's wrong with murder. Dozens of people committed it last year..."

So let me get this right? This is a special edition of a very premium car? And AutoCar, or Maserati are shouting about the fact that this special edition comes with leather seats...does the standard car not?

I don't know what youre talking about! The Quattroporte is an excellent, awesome, stupendous car! About the Panamera, well that's just come out, the quattroporte is already a 7 year old model launched back in 2003. We'll see the real comparison test with the upcoming Quattroporte successor! In any case the Maserati looks 20 times better than Panamera! Also in real life the Maserati is more than good enough for most buyers!
