A sleek new saloon concept is Honda's star attraction at the Beijing motor show

Honda unveiled a sleek new saloon concept car the Beijing motor show.

The new model is called Concept B and previews a saloon that's in development for sale exclusively in the Chinese market in 2016.

Honda says the model is aimed at younger buyers, describing it as "cool" and "practical".

A hybrid version is planned for production under a 'FUNTEC' banner. Honda claims it will be both more efficient and more fun to drive than standard variants.

A second concept on show in Beijing, developed by Dongfeng Honda, teases the next-generation 'Spirior' – the Chinese market Accord.

Honda also displayed its Vezel SUV and the next-generation Honda Jazz to a Chinese audience for the first time.

Overall a nice shape by

Overall a nice shape by current Honda standards, but that front grill looks like it would be excellent for scooping up plankton.
