MCLAREN 570S SPIDER: It’ll be the first time we’ve seen McLaren’s new entrylevel drop-top in the metal, so keep your eyes peeled.
BONHAMS SALE: The famous auctioneer is holding a sale at Goodwood, and this year the star car up for sale is an example of the iconic Ferrari F40. Bonhams puts a starting estimate of around £600,000 for the car, but it could easily fetch double that.
VAUXHALL VXR8 GTS-R: The VXR8 GTS-R is special for two reasons. First, it’s the most extreme version of the VXR8 the brand has ever made. Second, it’s the last version it’ll ever create, making it Vauxhall’s last V8 car.
FORMULA 1 HEROES: Big names of F1, including Nico Rosberg, Valtteri Bottas, Jolyon Palmer and former world champions Alan Jones and Damon Hill, will all be at the event.
NEW FORD FIESTA: The new version of Britain’s best-selling car, the Ford Fiesta, will make its UK public debut. The car will be on display on Ford’s stand, on the infield on the opposite side of the hill course from Goodwood House.
MERCEDES-AMG'S 50TH: In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Mercedes-AMG is taking a large number of cars up the hill, including the GT R, GT C Roadster, E63 S and C43 estate. On Merc’s stand will be the four-door GT Concept.
HONDA CIVIC TYPE R: Making its debut in the UK, the new Civic Type R will take to the hill at Goodwood. It’ll be hard to miss, because it’s the most radically styled Civic Type R yet. The NSX is also putting in an appearance.
FORD GT: The much-anticipated new Ford GT will take to the hillclimb at Goodwood, alongside the Mustang GT4. It’ll be the first time that either car has been driven at such an event in the UK.
FERRARI'S 70TH: In celebration of the brand’s 70th anniversary, Goodwood organisers say that there’ll be upwards of 70 Ferraris at the Festival of Speed. Who says you have to pick quality or quantity?
BERNIE ECCLESTONE HONOURED: Grabbing headlines lately has been Goodwood’s announcement that F1 mogul Bernie Ecclestone will be honoured at the Festival. Not only will his collection of grand prix cars be displayed, but the central sculpture made by Gerry Judah will also pay tribute to him.
