Lexus has revealed the second hybrid model in the GS range - the GS 300h

The Lexus GS 300h has made its world debut at the Shanghai motor show this morning. It will go on sale in all major global markets, including Europe, at the end of 2013.

Lexus says the GS 300h will target the fleet and business market, with emissions below 110g/km making it one of the most efficient in its class. It is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, shared with the forthcoming IS 300h.

No performance, consumption or output figures have been revealed, but the Japanese-market Toyota Crown which already uses the powertrain produces a combined 217bhp and 221lb ft. Lexus claims the IS 300h will return between 60 and 65.7mpg, depending on specification.

The rear-drive executive saloon is the second hybrid in the GS range, joining the petrol-electric GS 450h and GS 250 in the UK line-up.

Nice front end!!

I love the front view of this car.  It has a real "This is MY road, get out of the way" look about it, properly aggressive (I can't see many women being tempted by this!!).

Overall it looks a really nice car, inside as well as out.  That said  though, If I was in the market for this model/price of car, it wouldn't stop me from heading down to the nearest Jaguar dealer..........
