The UK car market continues to show signs of recovery, and that means dealer forecourts are bursting with offers to tempt you back into the showroom.
Internet brokers, too, are offering large discounts on models that have either been recently launched, or are themselves coming up for renewal. Knowing where to look and what prices to aim for can mean a big discount on your next car, so with that in mind, below are some of the best new car deals and leasing offers we found this week.
Best new car deals
With a new model of the Citroën C4 Picasso already revealed and just on sale in the UK, dealers are offering great introductory offers for customers. On UK Car Discount's website, we found a brand new 1.6-litre e-HDi model in Exclusive trim – which brings a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels and park assist – for £19,830. That's a saving of £3645 on the list price and includes 12 months' road tax.
The Toyota Aygo is up for renewal next year, so dealers are starting to get itchy about getting rid of their current generation models. On Drive the Deal, we found a 1.0-litre VVT-i model in Active spec for £6974.87, a saving of £1620.14 over the £8595 list price. A new range of style packs from Toyota, including the 1.0 Move with Style we tested recently, are also available.
Best new car leasing deals
With a new Mercedes C-class just around the corner, leasing deals on the outgoing model are plentiful and full of discounts. Take the C220 CDI model we found, in Executive SE trim, on Fleetprices.co.uk as an example. The contract includes monthly payments of £323.85 over two years, there's a £2914.65 to pay at the beginning, plus a 10,000-mile limit per year – but warranty, delivery, road tax and breakdown cover are included.
The Vauxhall Corsa is a proven urban runabout, and UK Car Line is currently offering a 1.2-litre three-door Limited Edition model, which boasts CO2 emissions of 129g/km and 51.4mpg combined, for £125.99 on a 24-month contract with an initial deposit of £1511.86. There's a 5000-mile limit, however, so watch the odometer.
Deal of the week
On the right road, we know that few hot saloons can match the Audi S4 for pace. It's also refined and easy enough to drive to be used as a daily commuter. It's not a common sight on UK roads, so offers on the S4 are easy to come by. On Orange Wheels, we found a top-spec S4 quattro Black edition estate for £36,373 , a saving of more than £5000 off the £41,395 list price.
