It is based on the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo and will be available in variable states of tune between 550-750bhp.

Medrad also claims it will be able to crack 0-60mph in 4.4sec.

The company said the car had been worked on exclusively by British engineers and designers and described its creation as a “beast”, incorporating “unique design and unbelievable power”.

Not sure who created those images, Autocar, or this previously unheard-of design house,

They were previously the UK importer/distributor for Gemballa, until Gemballa went into liquidation earlier this year, and Uwe Gemballa "disappeared" (since rescued - the company, not the man).

This Merdad pshop mock-up was doing the rounds months ago, albeit with more pronounced Gemballa body styling...I suspect that this is where it has dripped out from, they've just been told to lay off using Gemballa styling cues.

not sure if I like econo hatch look -- reminds me of a Renault Clio.

I can't deny its performance, but I rather the styling of the Range Rover Evoque.
