Daring pricing from Nissan. Infiniti means nothing in Europe except for a droopy bollocks logo to laugh at. Priced right up against equivalent Jag, BMW, Merc and Audi models, these are going to be rare on UK roads. Lots of kit but most of it would have been better spent on an engine with more acceleration and lower emissions.

The list price for a Volvo D5 Executive auto is over £35k. You may get a discount on that but the Infinity will be better equipped and has 30hp more.

Re: Infiniti M30d from £36,750

The starting price is pretty high compared to most rivals, but then the equipment levels are excellent. The ageing Audi A6 and award-winning Jaguar XF start at about £35k, the classic Mercedes-Benz E-Class is available from £36k and desirable BMW 5-Series from £37k. However, the M is uncompetitive in terms of emissions - all of its rivals are cleaner and more economical! To be honest, if I was in the market for an executive motor I'd be quite tempted by a top of the range Volvo S80 Executive for £30k or £35k for a brand new Volkswagen Phaeton diesel at autoebid!
