Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer available from £25,349, while BMW announces additions to its X5 engine range

The Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer is now available to order from £25,349. The all-wheel-drive model is the latest addition to the Insignia range, and comes with either a 161bhp 2.0-litre CDTi engine or a 192bhp BiTurbo unit.

German tuning company 9ff has filed for insolvency. Creators of the 986bhp GT9, which was based on a Porsche 911, were due to launch a new GT9 R with 1105bhp. This latest news follows the collapse of other niche manufacturers, including Wiesmann and Gumpert, in recent months.

The new Lexus GS300h hybrid will join the current GS450h as a company car option from next year. Lexus says the car is an attractive proposition for fleet drivers, offering a benefit in kind rate of 13 per cent, while emitting 109g/km of CO2 from its 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain. Deliveries will commence in January next year, with prices starting from £31,495.

BMW will offer a new selection of engines for its latest generation X5 in December. Joining the existing range is a 203bhp six-cylinder in-line petrol unit, a 215bhp twin-turbocharged diesel and a 309bhp straight-six diesel. BMW will also roll out its customisation programme, dubbed BMW Individual, for the X5 in December.
