VW 'mods up' the Passat

Volkswagen is livening up its dull-but-worthy Passat with this modder-influenced kit of styling tweaks.

The new package includes 18in 'titanium-coloured' alloy wheels, coloured front and rear skirts and a honeycomb grille, as well as a small rear spoiler integrated into the boot. It's purely cosmetic, though - there's no performance boost.

The bad news? The package costs over £2500 and it's only designed for the US market. VW says that positive feedback from a foray into the modified market at last year's SEMA show in Las Vegas prompted the development of the new look.
