We've always had something of a soft spot for the BMW M2 here at Autocar.
The first generation car immediately marked itself out as something special when it arrived in 2016, and the subsequent M2 Competition and M2 CS only improved on greatness.
However, there's a new one on the way. Built on BMW’s ‘Cluster Architecture’ model platform, this new M2 is larger and heavier than those that came before.
Can the use of shared parts from the excellent BMW M4 Competition offset the more substantial kerbweight? Join Matt Saunders as he samples both the automatic and manual version of the upcoming M2 to find out.
