This is the new 2021 Porsche 911 GT3. And it is different: bigger, faster ... better? We'll see.
The big news with this latest GT3, based on the '992' series Porsche 911, is that it has double wishbone front suspension, rather than a MacPherson strut, for the first time in the 911's history. It also has a fancy array of aerodynamics including a swan-neck mount for the rear wing.
Elsewhere things are more familiar. As with its 991 predecessor, it has a 4.0-litre flat six engine, though now making 503bhp (510hp), and driving through either a manual or a PDK twin-clutch automatic gearbox, (the auto is tested here).
Performance is mega. It'll do 0-62mph in 3.4sec and has a top speed of 198mph (199mph as a manual). And, if you're counting, fuel consumption is 21.7-21.9mph and it emits 283-304g/km of CO2. It's priced at £123,100 in the UK.
But just how good does all of this hardware make the latest GT3? Join Andrew Frankel as he tests the car, flat out, at Bedford Autodrome.
