Located in Mulhouse, a stone’s throw from the French border with Germany, it’s home to hundreds of models that tell the story of how car manufacturing evolved in France and abroad. Visitors meander through seemingly endless rows of classics featuring anything from odd, egg-shaped one-offs to mass-produced cars that helped millions make the leap from two to four wheels. The museum also houses the largest collection of Bugatti models in the world; even the carmaker’s heritage fleet is far smaller.
