This is the new 2021 Toyota Supra 2.0. Cheaper and less powerful than the 3.0-litre (obviously), it’s an entry-level Supra that has four rather than six cylinders. Gulp. Is that enough for a muscly grand touring sports car?
The Supra 2.0 has 254bhp, which is good for a 0-62mph time of 5.2sec and a limited top speed of 155mph. The price is £45,995 rather than the 3.0’s other side of £50,000.
The main good news though is that it’s almost 100kg lighter than the bigger-engined Toyota Supra, at 1395kg. And a lighter car is usually good for vehicle handling. Is that the case here? Or does a coupe like the Supra really need six cylinders?
