Artemis plans originally sought to develop Level Four autonomous technology by 2024 but might now be axed

Audi will axe its Artemis autonomous driving project under Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume’s new software plan, a report has claimed.

German trade publication Automobilwoche said Artemis – which sought to develop a Level Four-capable autonomous vehicle by 2024 – has been cancelled because of slow progress.

The news follows recent confirmation that Volkswagen's Trinity flagship – earmarked to use the Software 2.0
