Prices have been announced for the Chevrolet Camaro, ahead of arriving in showrooms in late spring.

The prices for the Chevrolet Camaro have been announced. The Camaro coupe will be priced at £34,995, while the Camaro convertible will cost £39,995.

Chevrolet will offer a limited-edition ‘45th Anniversary’ model, available in carbon black paint with bespoke graphics. Other standard-fit equipment includes dark silver 20-inch alloy wheels, unique leather interior and instrumentation.

All models in the Camaro range are supplied with a six-speed manual gearbox, but are available with six-speed automatic transmission as a £1,500 option. GM’s StabiliTrak electronic stability programme and traction control are fitted as standard.

Both the coupe and convertible use large 355/365mm ventilated discs and four-pot aluminium Brembo calipers. The model uses multi-link front suspension with a double ball joint configuration and 4.5-link independent rear suspension at the rear.

Power comes from a 6.2-litre V8, developing 426bhp with acceleration between 5.2secs and 5.6secs, depending on transmission and bodystyle. All models are limited to 155mph.

The order books are open now, and the first cars are expected to arrive at dealerships in late spring.

It's well late too!,there are many more European cars that are much better than Uncle Sam's hotrod.

Like what? I can't think of any European car that costs £35K new and looks even close tothis exciting, and certainly none with a 6.2 litre V8 - if only I had the money.....

£35K?......we will see, but it's not about the engine, it's not about the style,it's not even about the fit and finish, no, it's about how it handles, i haven't seen a car prog that thought it was crinch worthy handling wise (Fifthgear/Topgear),put it this way, first gen Gt-R's can be had for just over £30K, i know what i'd have, stick your cubes, banzai!
