Hyundai's forthcoming Azera model will make its official debut at the LA motor show in November

The new Hyundai Azera will make its debut at this year’s Los Angeles motor show, it has been confirmed.

The company hasn’t released any official pictures of the Azera, but it will likely follow the same design language as the Hyundai Grandeur saloon.

The car features Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language currently used on its i40 and ix20 models, and is based around the same platform as the Kia Cadenza.

The Azera will also feature the brand’s bold new grille design.

No powertrain details have been announced, but it seems likely that it will use the company’s 328bhp 3.8-litre V6 engine and a variant of its 270bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit.

The Hyundai Azera goes on sale in the US early next year. No cars have been penciled in for the UK market.
