Ford has extended the Ford Fiesta range with the introduction of two new models.
First off, the Ford Fiesta Special Edition “delivers eye-catching sports styling, special external detailing and upgrades”.
Included are heated black leather seats, air-conditioning, a leather handbrake and gear knob, metal pedals, gloss-black instrument bezels, and silver scuff plates.
Outside, the special-edition Fiesta is available with the choice of seven vibrant exterior paint options - including Panther Black – and the car gets 17-inch alloys, side skirts, a rear spoiler and polished twin exhausts. “The new model will only be available as a three-door, further amplifying the sporty style,” according to Ford.
Two engines are available – a Duratorq 1.6-litre, 132bhp petrol engine or a 1.6-litre 94bhp Duratorq TDCi diesel engine – giving the petrol-powered car a 0-60mph time of 8.7sec and a top speed of 122mph.
The second addition to the Fiesta line-up is the more modestly powered Ford Fiesta Style. Prices start from £9995 with spec including body-coloured spoiler, bumpers, door handles and mirror housings.
Also included are 15-inch alloys, electric front windows, and CD player.
Finally, the base model Ford Fiesta Studio model has been reduced in price by £500 to £9,495. Ford marketing director Mark Simpson said: "While 75 per cent of Ford Fiesta customers go for the top Zetec and Titanium series, we also want to make sure there's a great proposition for customers insistent on quality but not requiring top-of-the-range features."
