Bentley's record sales in China are set to "accelarate" with the introduction of two new models

Bentley has announced that it sold 396 cars in the first four months of 2011 in Mainland China, an increase of 66 per cent compared with the same period last year.

This is the first time that China has outsold the UK, ranking it second in Bentley’s sales after the United Sates. “Around one in four Bentleys sold globally, is now sold in China,” the company said.

And with the introduction of the new Continental GT and Mulsanne “growth will accelerate as the new models land,” Bentley added.

Just under one thousand cars were sold in China by the British manufacturer in 2010, almost doubling the previous year’s performance. Sales this year are estimated at 1500 units.
