British sports car brand Bristol Cars has been bought from administration by Swiss firm Kamkorp Autokraft, part of the Frazer-Nash group.
The company was originally placed into administration at the beginning of March with Tom MacLennan and Trevor Binyon from RSM Tenon appointed as administrators for the firm, which was formed from the aircraft industry in 1946 and has maintained a constant, eclectic presence through a single showroom on Kensington High Street in west London.

In the coming months, plans for the car maker and Frazer-Nash will be revealed, and will include the use of “cutting-edge electric and range extended powertrains”.
Group director of operations William Chia has assured owners: “Even though these are early days in our tenure of the brand, we are committed to providing them [owners] with the highest level of quality, technology and service.”
In 2009, Frazer-Nash unveiled its Namir electric concept car at the Geneva motor show. Power came courtesy of four electric motors – one for each wheel - which was developed by Frazer-Nash owner, Kamkorp.
