Subaru is showcasing its involvement in the development of the new rear-drive coupe with Toyota by revealing this ‘Boxer Sports Car Architecture’ concept at the Geneva motor show.
The concept will feature a clear plastic body that Autocar understands does hint at the final styling of Subaru’s coupe. But the clear plastic is significant as it allows Subaru to show off its work in the project: the boxer engine, chassis and suspension package.

It will feature an all-new platform and a design inspired by Subaru's recent Impreza concept car that previewed the firm's new design language. The car will "reinterpret the enjoyable, sure-footed driving experience in a rear-wheel drive format", Subaru said in a statement.
Toyota will also be displaying the latest version of its FT-86 coupe at Geneva, which “will give the clearest indication yet of the final design for Toyota’s next sports car”.

The Impreza Concept is also on display at Geneva for its European debut where it will be joined by Subaru’s new Trezia mini MPV.
