Prices for both the Espace and Grand Espace – an extra £1500 - are between £24,495 to £28,495, offering savings of up to £3,005 compared with the former range.

Changes to the engines include the 2.0-litre dCi, now available with two power outputs: dCi 150 and dCi 175, the latter mated to a six speed automatic transmission.

Revisions to the 148bhp dCi 150 have reduced CO2 emissions by 18g/km to 170g/km with an economy figure of 43.5mpg. The 173bhp dCi 175 emits 189g/km with 39.2mpg.

On the inside, the Espace now benefits from TomTom live satellite navigation. Optional extras include DVD players which are integrated into the front head rests and panoramic roof.

The new 2011 range is available to order from November 8 ahead of it arriving in UK showrooms in January.

I agree . It has aged very well and still looks like it was only launched yesterday . It is a very classy and cool MPV .

I do like the Renault Espace, but I think it needs to be updated now. The latest model came out in 2002 - even the Scenic which came out a year later has already been replaced by a new model!

Sure its been eclipsed in newness by the Ford and VW offerings but somehow the original still remains the best for me.
