Detroit motor show launch in January for facelifted Mercedes C-class range

Mercedes will reveal a facelifted C-class saloon at next year’s Detroit motor show.

There will be subtle visual upgrades, including new headlamps, a more contoured bonnet and reprofiled bumpers.

The saloon will get reworked versions of today’s four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, and an optional seven-speed automatic gearbox in place of the current five-speed unit.

The 3.5-litre V6 in the C350 CGI will make way for a newer unit of the same capacity from Mercedes’ MoVe generation of engines.

Why are they facelifting it already. Do they think they got it wrong first-time ? Most automobile facelifts actually work in reverse - few result in an improvement.

I think the C-Class is one of the best looking small saloon's currently available. It would be unlike Mercedes to make a lot of visual changes.leave well enough alone i think

Re: Mercedes C-class facelift: new pics

I'm surprised that it's getting a facelift heavy enough to warrant wearing a disguise. It's a good looking car still, and doesn't need anything doing to it really. Unless they are going to graft on the new face inspired by that F800 (Think that was the name) concept, but judging by the pics, doesn't look like they have.
