Renault is under pressure to drop its Renault Zoe electric car name - from a French woman Zoe Renault.
The Parisian, 23, has hired lawyers to insist that Renault scrap its branding. Renault has previously been the subject of a petition from French women called Zoe to change the name.
"I could not bear to hear: 'Zoe's broken down' or 'We need to get Zoe overhauled'," she told Le Parisien newspaper.
Her lawyer David Koubbi has said he will take the case to court unless Renault changes the name.
The Renault Zoe is set for launch in 2012, and its name was chosen because it means "life" in Greek.
A Renault spokesman said Zoe was not a "definitive choice".

Re: Renault Zoe name under fire
Why don't Renault HQ just pick up the phone and call their mates at Nissan. They're good at the name game, Remember that Nissan used to be called Datsun and they had the Cherry, Sunny, Cedric, Bluebird. Hey, that's it guys - Renault Bluebird. Perfect for those chilly Paris morns in February when Zoe wears her pelmet skirt.... What do you mean it's sexist! Does that mean that Mlle Renault might sue me? ;-(((
