Fiat has released official pictures and details of its second-generation Uno supermini, which is poised to go into production at its Betim plant in Brazil.
The new Uno will be available with a choice of two new flex-fuel petrol engines when it goes on sale in Brazil later this month. The 1.0-litre unit will produce up to 73bhp when running on alcohol and 75bhp on petrol, while the 1.4-litre unit will deliver a maximum of 88bhp on alcohol and 85bhp on petrol. Both engines power the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.

At 3.77m long and 1.64m wide, the new Uno is positioned between the Panda and the Grande Punto. The Uno's styling is loosely based on the Panda's but with a slightly softened shape and s redesigned front grille and bumper.
The images also show the pseudo-SUV version of the Uno, known as the 'Way', which has a much higher ground clearance, roof bars and contrasting bumpers and trim around the wheel arches.
Fiat has yet to confirm whether the Uno will go on sale in the UK.

Re: New Fiat Uno revealed
I have an old fiat uno 45 with the 903cc engine as third car, my old model is far better looking than the new one!! The new one is just ugly, this thing is an insult for the name UNO.. The Fiat uno 45 was the car of the year in 1988, it was a fantastic car, very pleasant to drive even after years!!!
The new Fiat 500 is a success but i don't think the new Uno will have the same glory!!
Re: New Fiat Uno revealed
Oh yes it does.
Re: New Fiat Uno revealed
i dont think this will come here- seems more like a developing market targeted car- in the UK we already have city car, in the panda, premium city in the 500, entry level supermini in grande punto, and tho the same car but better specced, the punto evo... i am suprised by the looks of this one- very utilitarian- as has been mentioned, quite van like, reminiscent of the panda... not sure how it would be marketed, with the panda being replaced very soon too...
