Panoz has released the first official picture of its new sports car that will be launched at next month’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
Features on the Panoz Abruzzi Spirit of Le Mans include a body made from recycled materials and a three-stage cooling system that boosts efficiency and performance.

The front-engined Abruzzi is likely to be built on an aluminium chassis evolved from the firm’s outgoing Esperante. Power is expected to come from a 4.6-litre Ford V8 tuned to produce around 300bhp.
“We are truly excited about the Panoz Abruzzi – not only about the design and performance of the car, but by the whole concept it represents,” said company boss Don Panoz.
“The styling is inspired from a classic era when racers would literally drive their own cars to Le Mans to compete and then drive back home.
“However, the technology of the Panoz Abruzzi Spirit of Le Mans is absolutely leading edge. We will provide many more details about the concept and some very special elements surrounding this exciting new car next month at Le Mans.”
The car is expected to be revealed to the media on 5 June.

Re: New Panoz supercar: first pic
Hopefully theyll wise up and drop the new 5.0 liter in there(412 HP). Even the new V6 makes 305 HP.
Re: New Panoz supercar: first pic
Can't really make a judgement based on the photo, but from what i can see there's a bit of Boxster,Dodge SR-10,and Audi TT about it, but as we all know and want are the cmplete pictures, i just hope it's not like the TRV Speed 12.
Re: New Panoz supercar: first pic
I have to agree with everyone else. 300bhp? The BMW 335 featured on the homepage has 302bhp! This thing will need the kerb weight of a paper towel to compete at Le Mans.
